Our Programs

NIAG is scaling up the protection and environmental restoration in sustainable management of forests range lands. And marine ecosystems as an essential solution to the climate change and environmental challenges we encounter today.

NIAG aims to empower rural communities to strive for sustainable agriculture production in terms of social equality and economical growth.

Environmental Conservation

We promote self-sustaining, conservation-based economies in areas with the most importance for people and nature. We do this by creating conservation

models for protection of essential natural resources including restoration of wetlands as well as tree nursery and planting. We protect forests that absorb and store climate-warming carbon by working with communities to enhance sustainable impacts on forests to enable forest protection initiatives; and helping local and Indigenous communities to protect the forests.

Biodiversity Ecosystem

Our Program fights to reshape our relationship to lands, water, and wildlife everywhere by confronting the major drivers of the decline in nature,
including habitat destruction and over-exploitation of wildlife. exists to conserve biodiversity through ecology, exploration and education.
including forest elephants, gorillas, chimpanzees, and hundreds of bird species and conserve the rainforest in Ghana.

Agroforestry and Beekeeping

We initiate development of an adequate based knowledge in sustainable agriculture, beekeeping and identifies ways which can contribute to Agroforestry. We implement this by addressing challenges faced us such as environmental degradation, poverty, climate change, poor water quality by making available the  options that ensure the contribution of Agroforestry in farming areas.

Rural Agriculture

We acknowledges that combating poverty means tackling the problems of rural areas, where agricultural production is the main source of employment and income. Thus, without development of the agricultural sector, poverty levels will persist. In this context agriculture can be conceived as an integrated part of rural development, poverty alleviation, competitiveness in the agricultural to increase productivity and improved standards of living in rural areas.

Small Scale Farming

Ghanaian agriculture is dominated by traditional smallholder farms, which typically cover fewer than two hectares, and farmers, including women and girls, are often among the rural poor and food-insecure. Our activities aim to help local farmers to provide opportunities to improve their livelihoods and target women, small farmers and in particular rural young people

Agribusiness

Agribusiness program aims to alleviate poverty through enterprise-focused agricultural interventions including production and processing of staple foods, horticulture crops, tree crops and specialty crops. The program touches all aspects of the subsector including crop promotion, production assistance, processing technologies, market access, and general extension and training.
